What's New at the Wharf's End

The end of Bowen's Wharf, where the Adirondack II calls home during the spring, summer and fall, also hosts a charming new attraction.

Now that the owners of the Aquidneck Lobster Company have remodeled their building, it holds three new businesses: a jewelry store, art gallery and coffee shop. Aquidneck has always been a first-hand way of learning how lobsters are caught and sold, but few knew what the nondescript business at the wharf's end really was... until now. Last year the owners added new signage, a fresh facade and an extended interior, and as a result the Aquidneck Lobster Company looks modern and welcoming.

The three new shops, which are open from May through October, are located on a new observation deck that overlooks Newport Harbor.

Before taking an early sail on the Adirondack II this year, we recommend sipping a wake-me-up mocha as you watch the early-morning boats from the breathtaking viewing deck.

Here's what some lobster-lovin' Newport visitors had to say about Aquidneck Lobster.
